Welcome to the Brainerd Snodeos Trail System! We take pride in grooming 107 miles of trails in the Brainerd Lakes Area. With over 50 members, we volunteer hundreds of hours each season to provide the best trails possible.

Back in 1975, in response to a request from the Brainerd City Council regarding safe snowmobiling, a few passionate snowmobilers formed the Brainerd Snodeos Snowmobile Club. With chainsaws, axes, shovels, and sweat, they laid out trails from Brainerd to Riverton and from Brainerd to Crow Wing State Park.

In 1976, the club bought its first groomer: a twin-tracked Ski-Doo Alpine pulling a 4-foot-wide homemade drag. Today, the Brainerd Snodeos maintain and groom 107 miles of trails from Brainerd to Riverton, Crow Wing State Park, Harding, and toward Garrison.

Our current groomers, two Tucker Sno-Cat 2000s with 8-foot-wide fully hydraulic drags, can smooth even the roughest trails in a single pass. These rigs are about 45 feet long and cost over $185,000 each.

Building and maintaining trails is a year-round commitment for our club members. Volunteers cut trees, clear brush, pick rocks, build bridges, install culverts, and put up signs to prepare for the snowmobile season.

The members of the Brainerd Snodeos Snowmobile Club and our groomer operators would like to thank all trail users for their cooperation in making the trail system safe and enjoyable for everyone.
